In the beginning of 2020, the shooting of Fantastic Beasts will begin. 3. Bit by bit, more and more details on the sequel will come to light. Leading actor Eddie Redmayne now wants Hagrid's performance. Is there really a reunion with the peaceful half-giant from Harry Potter? There is nothing in the way of a third part of Fantastic Beasts 3. The sequel has now been given the green light by all sides. On November 12, 2021, the blockbuster to then start in the US cinemas. Slowly it is time for the makers to think about the plot. Not only the scriptwriters Joanne K. Rowling and Steve Kloves, but also leading actor Eddie Redmayne are doing this. The Hollywood star would prefer to bring Rubeus Hagrid for the film on the boat.
In an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit, Redmayne emphatically betrayed his wish: "Hagrid, Hagrid, always Hagrid," Redmayne answered a fan who asked about his character desires for Beasts 3. Incidentally, this does not happen for the first time. Apparently, the actor thinks about it for a long time. Shortly before the theatrical release of Grindelwald's crime Redmayne expressed exactly this desire. Given Hagrid's age, this could still be somewhat problematic.
Of course, with the Fantastic Beasts series in front of Harry Potter, Hagrid would be much younger. Hagrid was born on December 6, 1928, but the second beast-movie was 1927. If there is not a big jump in time between part two and three, Hagrid would be very, very young in the next movie. It all depends on which action the creators choose. Should there be a reunion with Hagrid, that would undoubtedly make the hearts of all Harry Potter fans revel in nostalgia.
